Osborne touted as replacment for Mandelson.never knew he was labour,thought he was a tory.Scrap the ambassador job make him chancellor.

I think it was a BBC article earlier this week quoting an anonymous whitehall source, saying remember when Farage was being touted for the ambassador job, and if that had happened, not only would it have avoided this current crisis, but would have put Farage out of harms way, potentially neutralisinng the current threat from Reform.

Hindsight is wonderful, and realistically it was never going to happen, but fun thought Big Grin
