RE: Liverpool FC - lovebabes56 - 26-04-2019 22:56 You reckon they'll be resting both Messi & Suarez in their league game? Whether they do or not I doubt it makes any difference... I've had a good feeling about this tie since the draw was made. I honestly believe the Mancs made them look better than they are. Plus, who in La Liga plays anything like the way Liverpool play? RE: Liverpool FC - lovebabes56 - 27-04-2019 06:43 Hope you guys are lumping on Burnley to beat City tomorrow - City I reckon Will be unchanged from Wednesday but hoping Sean Dyche puts out a side capable of holding City for a point, but would be wonderful if they won. A Liverpool Championship win will be great for PL as awhole It's been a long time since they won and for me, have played the far better attractive football than City and will prove yet again City can't bloody buy their way to the title!!!!! Guardiola's dollar boys make me puke.... Many have said that the La Liga's is one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. I reckon they lost that title a long time ago. I don't think the La Liga has produced a season like it was when Leicester won the title last year for a long time and certainly I do feel in the next few years Barcelona will be in in steady decline as the likes of Messi & Suarez prepare for retirement, & RM have been barely recognisable since selling Ronaldo so I feel they are already in decline. I Don't think there is a team in La Liga now that could possibly adapt the Liverpool style that could probably break Barcelona's dominance of La Liga. The two games will be tasty for sure but you have to win in the Nou Camp but I reckon the quality that Liverpool have will give Barcelona a far better game than the Mancs ever did i mean atm a team of dustbins could beat the Mancs atm lol RE: Liverpool FC - Carl-Gen X - 27-04-2019 10:23 (27-04-2019 06:55 )babelover48 Wrote:(26-04-2019 22:59 )Carl-Gen X Wrote:(26-04-2019 22:56 )babelover48 Wrote: You reckon they'll be resting both Messi & Suarez in their league game? Well, I can say with some pride, that only one team from this country has ever won at the Nou Camp...twice in fact. John Toshack’s goal in 76, the match where the Catalans were throwing cushions to show their disapproval, and our cult hero Joey Jones throwing them back like frisbees and bouncing them off their heads. Bob Paisley grabbed Joey and ushered him away quick time saying ‘Bloody ell Joey you’ll start a riot’ Then the game when Riise and Craig Bellamy scored to win the match after the two of them had a pre match fight with Bellamy going for Riise with a golf club. Bellamy celebrating the winning goal with a big golf swing RE: Liverpool FC - GMach1 - 28-04-2019 15:07 So back to Newcastle Saturday night and we will have to hope Leicester City could do it(as they beat Arsenal hollow today) but Wolves may well be the crucial game and they are not easy to beat. It's going to be a real squeaky-bum time for both teams but we shall just keep going as we do. On to Barcelona Wednesday. Everyone seems to think we can beat Barcelona easily but all we need to do is score a goal because that crucial away goal will be even more crucial come the second leg. It's not doing my heart a lot of good this race, good job I've been on pills for my BP for years. RE: Liverpool FC - GMach1 - 01-05-2019 16:32 Not sure I like the way that Klopp has said that Liverpool will 'suffer' under Barcelona. It's not the ideal build up talk to a massive 2 games against one of the best clubs in Europe and the world. All we need is an away goal or two, but make no mistake Barcelona won't want to lose at their home and the fans will make it a loud affair. Don't underestimate Messi or Coutinho or Suarez for that matter, they'll be up for this game without a doubt. Keep it tight at the back and don't fall for Messi's tricks, let alone Suarez's diving attempts. I hope the referee is on the ball and VAR will come into play if necessary so that could help too. Either way this is going to be a BIG GAME tonight. Come on you Reds!! RE: Liverpool FC - babefan2012 - 01-05-2019 17:00 We will “suffer” vs Barca. We’ll have to run and run just to contain them let alone and attempt to attack them. It will be a tight game that’s for sure, very tight. I think we’ll lose but will probably score. RE: Liverpool FC - southsidestu - 01-05-2019 17:13 Barca were less than impressive at Old Trafford and up until the first goal at the Nou Camp, United were showing good signs at being able to get at them. When Messi scored it was early in the first half and it didn't change what United needed to do, due to the away goals rule they still only needed to score 2 and had a lot of them game left to do it in. Perhaps if De Gea had made that mistake that led to the 2nd Messi goal they could of weathered the storm and mounted a comeback. Given the result that they got in Munich they know that they have it in them to go away to one of the European giants and get a result and they don't even need a 1-3 win, a score draw or a defeat by one goal where they get an away goal will do them It's certainly doable but it wont be easy RE: Liverpool FC - GMach1 - 01-05-2019 17:17 I've just been invited next door to see the game by one of our neighbours-and he is Man Utd supporter! Should be good but I will try to suppress my excitement and watch my blood pressure. |
