Ever-popular Rotherham manager Steve Evans has picked up a six-game stadium ban Smile

Following an Independent Regulatory Commission held on Wednesday 5 September 2012, Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has been given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3000.

Mr Evans was charged with using abusive and/or indecent and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a participant in or around the dressing room area at the end of the Bradford City versus Crawley Town Football League Two fixture on 27 March 2012. It was further alleged that the breach included a reference to gender, a breach of FA Rule E3(2). Mr Evans denied the charge and requested a personal hearing.

The Commission found that Mr Evans had used abusive and insulting words and behaviour towards a participant in or around the dressing room area at the end of the fixture which did include a reference to gender. The Commission did not find that Mr Evans had used indecent words or behaviour.

Mr Evans has informed The Football Association that he does not wish to appeal the decision and therefore the sanction is now imposed with immediate effect.

The stadium ban will prevent Mr Evans from attending the ground at which Rotherham United's first team are playing at any time during a match day.

Survey on football rivalries. Some interesting stuff, although the sample size is very small so a lot of rubbish as well. For example there's about 10 teams I'd consider '3rd' rivals for Chelsea above Man Utd Rolleyes

And congrats I suppose Money_Shot, you apparently support the 2nd least hated team in England. Not sure if that's a good thing though personally Wink

i would say man united would be our main rivals more than burnley have in the past 20 years or so as we hardly played burnley Wink

lol how can a 'neutral' consider us the 17th most offensive club? most 'neutrals' have probably never heard of us Big Grin

Fantastic result for us last night, beating Charlton away 1-0 Big Grin Apparently they had a goal unfairly disallowed for offside, but it sounds like we were the better team anyway. Now we're only one point off the play-offs (till this afternoon)

Great comeback today from Palace, 2-0 down to the Cardiff Redbirds inside 15 minutes, we turned it round with a hat trick from Glenn "FFS" Murray Smile After three straight defeats to start the season, we've now won three of the last four. Happy days Smile
