I think people forget they are the experts, not some idjit who's at the show for the first time ever sitting on a comfy seat..... If they all just said everybody was great, and gave them nines and tens every dance, then the show would die on its arse.... Then there would be no show at all..!

Like Ashley was when she was a judge on Dancing On Ice?

Phew! My top four was in slight jeopardy there but I knew Graeme would be the one to go. It's getting towards the business end now. I agree about the audience, a little too enthusiastic and getting more like the Americans cheering the slightest thing or booing but then Craig Hovel-Underwood is the queen on mean(as it were) and seems to thrive on it-he wants perfection to get his 10 out.

I’ve been coerced into watching this for the last 3 weeks for the first time in years. I can see why it remains popular family entertainment and it is a darn sight more palatable than Michael McIntyre channelling his inner Noel Edmonds. But whilst others might find comfort in routine and familiarity, could they not change it up a bit? It’s cut and paste from week to week and season to season as far as I can tell. Start by getting some better judges; the two ‘blokes’ in particular are well past their sell-by date.

Phew! Nearly upset my prediction there but I think Charles was on a hiding to nothing against a more energetic dance from Ashley. So the top five for the semi-finals are Ashley, Lauren, Fay, Stacey and Joe four of which I predicted for the final but Lauren is capable of reaching the final too.

Right well tonight is the final vote(public) for who goes to the final. I still reckon it will be(barring a miracle) that it will be:
Ashley, Fay, Joe and Stacey BUT because of the adverse publicity about Ashley in the papers last week she could end up in the bottom two with Lauren & AJ...but I still want her for the final 4, much as I admire Lauren and how she has never let disability hamper her and of course she is a winner of numerous gold medals for GBR. It could however also be Joe in the bottom two because his second dance, based on Peaky Biinders didn't seem to convince Craig Revulsion-Harlot at all.

Who said it was fixed?

To be fair I knew last Sunday who was leaving this week Rolleyes

But I wonder how Ashley feels. She knows that she's going to be the next one out, depite the fact that she's probably the best dancer.

RE: Strictly Come Dancing - GMach1 - 10-12-2018 14:44

In the paper this morning it said that Ashley is upset that people are talking about her having had some coaching in the past, but also that she was voted into the dance off again. The problem is whoever wins, someone isn't going to like it, which shows you can't please everyone every time. I think it could be Stacey, Joe or Faye, but who knows, well just have to wait until next Saturday.

Everyone likes to see someone have a journey.
The problem with both Faye and Ashley is that they were too good at the start.
So don't be surprised to see the best dancer be the first to leave on Saturday.
