However, she's got Joe O'Connor tomorrow in the 2nd qualifying round. Bai Yulu, and German Masters giantkiller Alexander Ursenbacher, both withdrew from the tournament. Wins for Jimmy White and Artemis Zizins. Mink Nutcharut plays Andrew Pagett tomorrow. Ishpreet Singh-Chadha beat Baipat Siripapaorn 4-0. Baipat has already been eliminated in the qualifying for the World Open, so she only has the World Championship left to try to beat a male player on the WST tour for the first time until her 2 year tour card expires. She'll have to win the Women's World Championship again to get her tour card renewed. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 05-02-2025 23:04 No Joy for Reanne today, as she lost 4-0 to Joe O'Connor. Mink came close, she made two 56 breaks, but narrowly lost 4-3 to Andrew Pagett. Wins for Bulcsu Revesz and Stuart Carrington. McGill lost 4-3 to Liam Davies. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Joannis - 06-02-2025 23:17 Ricky Walden was admitted to hospital for inflammation of the pancreas when he returned to the UK from the German Masters. Walden was discharged in time to play his Welsh Open qualifier, and he beat Artemijs Zizins 4-2. Good win for Swiss amateur Florian Nuessle as he beat Liu Hongyu 4-3. Wins also for Yuan Sijun and Stuart Carrington. Thepchaiya Un-Nooh lost 4-2 to Ben Mertens. Jimmy White and Bulcsu Revesz also lost. The Welsh Open resumes on Monday 10th February, when each of the top 32 players have to play a qualifier. RE: Home Nations £1m tournament - Snooks - 06-02-2025 23:26 Thepchaiya un Nooh is so frustrating to watch. He has inordinate amounts of talent but poor concentration and not very good shot selection either. Needs a good coach tbh. Home hope Mark Williams saw off Florian Nuessle 4-1 while Mark Selby also progressed 4-2 over Haydon Pinhey. Maguire beat Xu Si 4-2. That's a good result for Maguire, as Xu Si got a 147 in his qualifier against Bulcsu Revesz, and has had a good season. Yuan Sijun has been on good form recently. He beat fellow Chinaman Zhou Yuelong 4-1. John Higgins has just beaten Graham Dott 4-0 Judd Trump has withdrawn. No news about Ronnie yet, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if he turns up. Moody did well, 2-0 and 3-2 leading - credit to Allen for getting the job done. |
