great news for elite in the long term that they are looking for babes
How about a cameraman, that would work better for me

Aren't they always "looking for babes"? They are giving girls trials all the time, just like any other channel. The trouble is that it's not easy to find the right girl, for every Sammi-Jo who makes it there are several who don't.
So I don't see this as any indication that Alice, or any other girl, is leaving.

I only noticed last night (so not sure how long it has been in place) that there is now a £2 connection charge for landline calls, the only channel to do this as far as I know.

^^^I've noticed this a few weeks ago So correct me if I'm wrong but Elite must be the most expensive babechannel to call
If they are that hard up why are the giving away an IPad and other stuff in a comp

Didn't realise they'd done it with landlines aswell, thought it was only the short code

Just checked previous recordings on sky and the charge has only appeared over the last few nights. Down as a £2 'conn' which is an appropriate description. Very dissapointed at such a cynical move on the part of Elite. I don't know whether the are feeling the pinch (only making bucket loads of money as opposed to shed loads of money) but they have been pushing vids/pics more lately and having fewer girls on to cover shifts.
Will fleece the casual caller but will put off the more regular callers.
RE: Elite TV - General Chat & Discussion - Rammyrascal - 17-08-2011 21:50
i dont call elite so this wont affect me but this really will only hit those who call a lot but the casual callers wont be that bothered about an extra 2 quid added to the odd call they make.
all businesses are having a tough time so can see why elite have done this, wouldnt be a surprise if other channels follow suit

Next Tuesday sees the return of the Elite Sports Day...
I'd suggest a "More vigilant" approach may be required for cappers etc, after last years unscheduled appearances on screen....daytime & nighttime. I believe that a night at one of London's finer nightime establishments is also on the agenda, which may of course lead to some extra nighttime appearances...
