Now comes the bullshit from the 20 odd points behind teams fans, the irrelevant fans of clubs in no way a rival or in the same league about us “bottling” etc etc. This was probably our best shot IMO. City will blow another 2- 300m this summer to further cement themselves and make sure they don’t have such a scare as this year. But that’s fine as long as we don’t win it...bladewavebladewave

Teams who finish on 97 points haven’t bottled anything. And we’re in the Champions League Final, the ultimate prize in club football there to be won.

Oh i know that, but they'll still say it.

A question for you. Which would you rather win? a domestic treble including the League title OR the Champions League. Some people who phoned up 606 have said they'd rather win that than the Champions League. Also Noel Gallagher reckons Spurs will win the Champions League-do you think they have a chance? Or will Liverpool win it, despite the fact most pundits and media think Liverpool are favourites?

Hi

Good question, I think we will see Liverpool win, no special reason just think Liverpool's players will want it more

I actually think Spurs may do it ...

Noel Gallagher? That mono browed six fingered Manc whopper? Pfft. He can do one for a kick off.

If we weren’t motivated enough for the Champions League Final after what happened last year, today will add even more determination in our lads to win it.

Sorry Spuds, it’s not happening for you.

Would rather win the Champions League TBH. The domestic treble is decent, very decent but to win the Champions League is the ultimate one for me. Any City fan who would rather win the PL, League Cup and FA cup over the Champions League is lying IMO. For there now dominance in England over the last two years they've not gone past the Quarters since Pep took over. Winning that was what he was bought in to do.

Noel Gallagher would say that because it's the one he'd want his beloved City team to win the most, so to see us win it would give him a right kick in the teeth. He'd love Spurs winning it.

Wouldn't buy into us being favourites for the Champions League and even if we where it means little, as we proved in 2005. If we play at our best then we should win. Being favourites has nothing to do with it.

Graham Mackrell fined £6,500 plus £5,000 legal costs but that is scant reward for the families of the 96. As someone worked out, that is £67.70 per victim-that is shameful on all levels. It is almost farcical and the official programme has "the perfect venue" printed on the back. Of course they didn't take into account that there had been an incident a few years before, so the perfect venue turned out to be less so and fatal. Why is it taking so long to bring somene to justice for heavens sake? What justice is this for the 96? annoyedannoyed

I'd take the Premier League Title over the Champions League purely because it's been 30 years since we last laid claim to it but also as all 4 representatives in both Champions League & Europa League finals (Liverpool,Spurs,Chelsea & Arsenal) prove that it is the best league in Europe & probably World football. If & when Liverpool finally end their Domestic League hiatus then I would say the momentum probably shifts towards the Champions League Title because to win that elevates you as Europe's elite/best team in Europe.

As for Noel Gallagher's predictions on the Champions League? whilst he had written some great songs when he was with Oasis aside from that he is an irrelevance & to quote the WWE's The Rock "It doesn't matter matter what he thinks!!". Although we did the double over Spurs this season (beating them 2-1 both home & away) the final is on a neutral ground,a competition that now relies heavily on VAR for even the most innocent of decisions & adding to that a fussy referee then anything can happen.Although in the Group stages we lost all 3 away games we still came through that & seem a more suited team when it comes to the nitty-gritty of the straight knock-out stages.Due to attacking nature & pace of both Liverpool & Spurs I feel it will come down to the team with the best defence & we have proved this season in the PL that we have the stronger defence of the 2 teams.

Yes the title is, as Bill Shankley once said "our bread and butter" but that was then, this is now and I would take the Champions League trophy for a sixth time please. Btw if Man City do the domestic treble, who,do they play in the Community thing before the season? I always thought the title winners play the winners of either the League Cup or FACUP?
