Whilst that may sound like a good idea, and if done in the right way it would be, but remember that - broadly speaking - the public are idiots. Any consultation on tv porn would just turn into the usual whipped-up media shitstorm full of shouting and demands by womens groups and god-botherers followed by vote-grabbing politicians falling over themselves to agree.

As it appears that Ofcom are going nowhere, I think we need to implement Charlie Brookers - and I'm sure it's been mentioned on here before - counter-complaints idea across all of TV...

"Perhaps it's time to put a "Complain to Ofcom" button right there on the remote control: if enough viewers press it, the show gets yanked immediately, like a bad variety act being pulled off stage by a shepherd's crook.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's time to establish "Counter-Complaints": a method of registering your complaint about the number of knee-jerk complaints. And one should cancel out the other - so if 25,000 people complain, and a further 25,000 counter-complain, the total number of complaints is zero. It might lead to a lot of fruitless button-mashing, but at least we can keep our shared national culture relatively sane. Because judging by the rest of the news, if the ship's going down, a few unrestricted taste-free laughs now and then might make things more bearable for all of us

Last two nights viewing has been utter pants...so tame as to force me to switch off and take an early night. If the new regs mean it is going to be this tame from now on then I'll pass.

with the exception of denni and vixen on sport their all shite ,red light central should be renamed as " nice but dim "as for the rest they should all join forces and be called "watch with mother" none of them has the balls to challenge any rules set out by ofcom, but are happy to keep collecting money for those silly enough to pay for itSad

Believe me I've seen worse nights, just cast your eyes back to a couple of years ago, post Babestar Tv, 2007 was without a doubt a rotten year for the babe channels, every single one of them went tame. Elite Tv to be fair wasn't all that bad last night, SportXXX also had a good night and as for the rest yes it was pretty tame stuff, Red Light Central is probably the most inconsistent of the lot but I think that might have something to do with the models and not so much ofcom with only 2 out there who only ever put on good shows and that's Danni Harwood and Lucy Summers. All the babe channels right now are needing major reconstruction as we have far too much deadwood models just not delivering anything of note. Ofcom has to go because this is what will continue to happen and eventually we'll be only left with all the dull models and dull shows. As for the babe shows making money irrespective of the product on show go's you only need to look at the defunct channel Babeworld Tv to see what happened to them, they went bust and will happen to the rest if they don't buck up their idea's and stand up to Ofcom.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - RESPONSIBLE ADULT - 19-02-2011 17:18

The majority of babe fans think that the stuff now being shown is a shadow of what was shown not all that long ago. I'm one of those that think if things don't buck up. It will not be long before were all getting eight hours kip a night and keep a full boxes of tissues untouched.

Lots of you have asked why we can't have much stronger stuff broadcast from the babechannel programme makers. But I for one don't want hard porn. If I was to want that, well the internet is the place I'd go to. I am more than happy being entertained like we have been in the past, by a production staff willing to push the boundaries, and girls looking like they are enjoying what they are doing without being scrutinised all the time my their managers. And cameramen being more obliging with their angles and shots, instead of being like people suffering from a very severe bout of Jack Douglas syndrome. ( Members not old enough to know who Jack Douglas was, look up on net.) Remember Danica at her superb sexiness, Amanda Rendall at her filthiest, Jemma Jey helping her along in sizzling style, remember lollipopgate, "Phew".

All this went on and we all loved it.And do you know nobody got so corrupted that they went on a crusade of sexual destruction to each and every female that crossed their path. So if Ofcom continue to dither in what they allow us to watch I would like them to know that I for one don't want gaping arseholes and sperm covered faces shown on my TV. All I want is a bit of "whoops" accidental slips, and some cheeky flashing. And most of all, the girls looking like they are enjoying it as much as the watchers. So please Ofcom let us get back to bleary eyes and empty tissue boxes.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 19-02-2011 18:35

The way I see the situation at the moment is we have first and foremost Ofcom to blame for such tight scrutinising. Secondly the babe channels themselves lack any kind of ambition and are more than happy to just keep plundering along so long as the money keeps flowing in. Thirdly we have dull unmotivated models simply going through the motions until finishing time neither willing or obliged to push the boundaries. And lastly we have a few exceptions who are trying to push the boundaries only to be let down by poor management and production values. The end product we have is hellish inconsistency all across the board of channels with neither party knowing from night to night exactly what way the show will swing or pan out. If it's any consolation I have been watching the eurotic tv webstream the last wee while and even their show's by all measures has been poor on their part so we're not the only one's suffering at the moment. If only the UK babe channels would buck up their idea's we have a market to break into the European monopoly. Minus Ofcom and their censorship rules we have all the ingredients to be the best in Europe if only the babe channels would recognize this. Also if you look at the law which Ofcom clearly are not following we probably actually have more liberal rights than we realise such as the 2000 high court ruling to allow for harder content to be shown in this country.

If you have been watching `eurotic tv` you will at least have been treated to some `gash`and on the channel called `sexysat`where on a night time the models open up their pussies really wide for us ,in extreme close up!
This kind of tv ought to be the norm in 2011.
If the whinging ,moaning, fucking go gooders, stop pretending they are accidentaly tuning in to the adult section and then complaining to Ofcom, maybe it would be.
I would realy like to know why these morons can complain when they are supposed to have accidently tuned in, but then go into a detailed review of a couple of hours veiwing ,where the girls have done this or that, which was so soul destroying and shocking ,that they just had to keep watching,so they could make sure their complaint took in everything.

First of all I can't comment on the Sexysat Tv shows as I no longer have Astra 1 access seeing as I live in a communal block of flats that doesn't allow for any dish's to go up as they have provided one for the whole block and unless given permission will be given a hell of a fine for doing so, so I'm stuck only with the Astra 2 Eurobird at 28.2 degree's for the time being and at the mercy of UK babe channels only. From what I do remember about Sexysat which I got at my old address yes the shows were very explicit but the picture quality on show was abysmal plastered with OSG''s across the screen even worse than Babestation. But as I've said in my previous post Ofcom are breaking the law as R18 type shows similar to Sexysat and Eurotic Tv on a good night is allowed and permitted in the UK too. Technology these days which has been discussed at length (ie pin protection etc.....need I go on) is available so there is no reason whatsoever why our shows should be any different from our European counterparts.

Cheer's nailpouchofmine I've been searching around now for months on how to get round this problem. It's a great flat I have but obviously I was gutted when I found out the only satellite dish I seen was the one for everyone. This just might work a treat for me.
