Cue endless news coverage of a tournament that would otherwise have passed most people by.

Who needs walk-on razzmatazz, eh, Bazza? Wink

Apparently it rolls on to the next tournament its 5k a tournament unless its not claimed then its rolledover. hearn called it disrespectful i would call 5k for a 147 pityful

Rebel Ronnie... He didn't want to devalue a 147 at 10k and refused to take it on.
I wonder how many people in the world could use that kind of money bladewave

I wonder how many other sports stars within their respective sports would deny fans such a feat. You wouldn't get darts players not going for a 9 darter or a bowler not wanting to go for a hattrick.

But how many "people in the world" could get a 147 clearance in tournament conditions? Tongue I mean, I think the majority of other players would welcome the money, and now they can still win it, rather than share it with a smart alec.

He should have gone for 147 and donated the money to charity if the money meant so little to him

Or Barry Hearn could donate some money to charity in lieu of all the free publicity the incident has brought him for the tournament.

RE: Snooker - Doddle - 17-02-2016 22:40

Ronnie breezed through again this evening without much trouble.

RE: Snooker - Doddle - 19-02-2016 08:41

Joe Perry got a great result to beat Judd Trump 4-3 Smile

RE: Snooker - Snooks - 19-02-2016 17:34

Just to make things all the more interesting Ding Junhui accepted the offer to beat Ronnie's 146 and has promptly made a 147 today in his quarter final loss to Neil Robertson Big LaughTongue.
