Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been released by their court of appeal. He'd served 20 days at La Santé prison out of a five-year sentence for a criminal conspiracy linked to illegal 2007 campaign financing from Libya. He described his imprisonment as a gruelling nightmare and there is an appeal set for next year.

And I thought that we had some silly laws.

But things are generally cheaper in China in comparison to the UK. For instance, a high end mobile phone contract typically costs about £30 in here in the UK, in comparison in China a high mobile phone contract typically costs about £10 (once you have done the currency conversion from Chinese Yuan)
