First of all he was Transport Secretary and I've heard that job referred to as Transport Muggins. Everybody and his wife thinks that they could make the trains run on time. Whenever he was grilled on BBC Parliament he gave a plausible account.
But then again there was the number of cock ups and how they appeared so dire, 'gave a ferry contract to a firm with no ferries'.

Say 2/3rd's of Radio 2 annoyed
Some of Radio 3 annoyed
Some of local radio, the rest's chat annoyed
Strictly Come Dancing and it's associated empire annoyed

Against that there's the odd time that Ken Bruce Cool plays Do Anything You Wanna Do by Eddie and The Hotrods Cool so yes it's all gone Pete Tong annoyed
