It should not be necessary to resort to using screen capture software. It's a poor second to being able to record the stream directly, and it requires you to have the video playing in the browser (which times out after 20 minutes). RTMPDump will grab RTMPE streams, but it's not the most user-friendly piece of software. As for the '8 week rule', the official explanation is that it's to avoid issues with OFCOM, but I personally don't buy that one. My view is that RLC were/are intending to host recordings of the shows in the member's section of their website, and would prefer not to have free alternatives available on this forum. RLC have been getting malicious complaints to Ofcom telling them to view the vids. 8 weeks is the presumed time limit to make a complaint from the date of broadcast. Don't explain why Elite, who also have been targeted, haven't requested a ban. Maybe they know it's pointless as OfCom can act regardless. Very true. The only real way that RLC can stop the complaints against them being made is to shut up shop for good. So, another PR disaster it is from one of the babe channels. And they wonder why so few people have any sympathy for them now. RE: Red Light Lounge/Central - Web Stream - dirk362 - 04-04-2012 13:56 rtmpdump in of itself can't record the streams - nothing to do with rtmpe as it supports that fine. The issue as best I can determine stems from rtmp redirects, use of at least 2 swf files to create the token process, force-set a local cookie, and a few other things. With time and effort I'm sure it's possible to get around this, but perhaps someone with greater skills than I can do that as I've hit a bit of a brick wall trying to make this work after the last set of changes. You can record the free stream for longer than the 30 seconds or whatever timeout using tools such as rtmpexplorer but with rtmpsuck instead of rtmpsrv. Just because a webpage has a built-in timeout doesn't stop the session from running. Whether the 30 minute setup for members is the same I can't say as I long ago gave up subscribing to the site. Ultimately the cookie seems to control this, but given it's set to expire at session end and not before, it should be fine to keep going for as long as you want (perhaps). RE: Red Light Lounge/Central - Web Stream - deltic - 04-04-2012 14:49 had a look at rtmpdump but havent a clue how to get it to work. membership of rlc site now a waste of money. certainly wont be calling again if i cant record the girl on stream. looks like i'm going to save some money and maybe get a life away from the babechannels! RLC was the only decent site left, now sadly gone as far as i'm concerned. Feel very disappointed and let down. RE: Red Light Lounge/Central - Web Stream - oklahoma001 - 04-04-2012 15:38 Using a laptop to record the streams, RMC was a memory hog at times but it rarely to never dropped connections. Rtmpexplorer is very hit and miss, sometimes I can let it record hours upon hours and other times like last night it drops connection after 30minutes. RE: Red Light Lounge/Central - Web Stream - jamiecfc9 - 04-04-2012 22:59 Sorry, I am a little confused (doesn't take a lot I know), can someone just clear something up? Should I be able to get any kind of webstream (timeout or not) for free (without being a member). Because as of a few days ago I don't seem to be able to. RE: Red Light Lounge/Central - Web Stream - redlight central - 05-04-2012 07:15 yes you should what pc operating system do you have?
