Different format a few new faces yet same pathetic display. The body language suggests defeat from the start. Flower and Cook and crew need to wake up quickly and sort this mess out. I don't mind losing but the manner of these defeats is now getting embarrassing and totally unacceptable.

The body language in the field was very disappointing in the field.
Cook seems out of ideas to me which is why I would have rested him for this series and made Broad captain.
Ashley Giles has some work to do already.

Bresnan needs to be fit & at his best which he isn't,he's been injured & is short of match fitness. He can do a job if he has Broad & Anderson in the side, but isn't good enough to lead the attack.

Turns out that when pressed Cook admitted that Broad isn't being rested, but is carrying a slight injury.

Without any experience & class the one bowler who could fill that role has to be Onions.

Shane Watson will be rested for the 2nd ODI in Brisbane on Friday.

Cooke and Root have again failed with the bat in a friendly match.

Brett Lee is captain of the Prime Minister's XI & dismissed both Cook & Root.Morgan top scored with 61,Ballance 56,Carberry 47 & Bresnan chipped in with 36.
With Bell resting Carberry could come in for Root in the 2nd ODI,but that would mean one less bowler to call upon with Bopara required to bowl a full 10 overs,
Tredwell is playing in this match & he must get a chance on Friday.

Latest - England 264-8

England won by 172 runs, bowling the Prime Minister's XI out for 92. in only 26 overs.Bopara took four late order wickets for 3 runs & had a run out.
England looked in trouble with the bat at 1149-6 before Butler & Bresnan added 80.

^ I knew what you meant on the score!

I would not too excited about this result given the quality of the opposition is not quite what we have seen in the test matches.
