Barnes Walis (and Derek Meddings) are the two people whose work inspired me to be an Engineer and the Tallboy was Wallis's second bomb of WW2.
[EDIT: The bouncing bomb was the first one]
This one failed to explode when dropped by 617 on the Lutzow in April of 1945.
It exploded whilst attempts were being made to neutralise it but all the Polish guys are safe.

They must have burned off a fair amount of the explosive or it had degraded significantly over the years because 2400Kg of Torpex should have made a bigger bang than that laugh
