This had to happen, the rumours surrounding the extent of his problem have been proven to be true.To admit that he hasn't been available for selection is sad & that he may even have the bowling yips,a problem that ended the bowling career or Gavin Hamilton who gave up on his bowling after failing to get it back.
Can't really see a quick fix for Finn,he has been named in the provisional T20 World Cup squad, but March will be too early to sort this out.

Returning home was the best thing for him to do to establish his career.
He needs to do a Mitchel Johnson and get himself a mentor/coach to fix his bowling problems.

Australia have extended the rest period of Shane Watson to 3 matches & have called Dan Christian into their squad.

I really hope England strengthen their bowling attack. They seem scared to pick a spinner after the way the Aussies have attacked them.Tredwell was expensive when he played in the ODI's in England, but these grounds are bigger which should be easier to defend.
By playing 8 batsmen & with Bresnan Jordan more than capable it shows a total lack of confidence in the top 4 who should be scoring centuries to win matches. Why play more batsmen in a 50 over match than you do in a Test match it makes no sense. The shorter the game the less chance you have of getting bowled out,so extra bowling options are the better choice, his is the way that many T20 sides taking.
If England drop Root,as expected & bring in Carberry instead of Tredwell, they are down to 5 regular bowlers.

The news from the latest ODI is that England have gone with an unchanged side and have won the toss and will bat. For Australia Doherty has been left out to make room for Johnson and Watson is replaced by Marsh.

England are stubborn as usual in selection, after a steady if unspectacular start with 52-0 in the first 10 overs,Cook chips one back to Maxwell's 2nd ball & Clarke brings Johnson back into the attack to remove the out off form Root.Ballance has got out stumped by Haddin off the bowling of Maxwell as they fall to 78-3 into the 18th over & their long batting line-up already struggling to post a defendable total.

Latest, massive break as Morgan is caught out in the deep off Clarke's bowing, which should've been 84-4,but Morgan alerted the umpire's that they only had 4 fielders in the circle & not 5,resulting in a no-ball.

England look to have given themselves a bit of a chance with a useful score of 296-8 despite another mini collapse in last couple of overs of the innings. A great ton by Morgan with good support from Butler 45 and 68 for Bell earlier on. It remains to be seen how competitive it will be once the Aussies bat. I suspect not quite enough.

Australia maybe misread the pitch,as they replaced a spinner with a seamer. However Clarke had the luxury of bowling himself & got through 12 over of spin in combination with Maxwell at 4 an over as England were happy to take singles. All the pace bowlers went for about 6 or more runs per over.It remains to be seen how many Root will bowl, but expect theAussies to at least try to hit him over the ropes.

England's score has been revised to 300-8,after an error by the 3rd umpire has been corrected when the fielder stepped over the rope & threw the ball back into play, which was a 6 & not a 2 as had been originally called.
