RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 05-06-2013 06:31 Apparently, she wrote on Twitter that she'd love to do the role. That's all there is to it (presumably). Such is journalism. I'd have thought he'd have lasted a lot longer than this. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 05-06-2013 15:24 matt smith has lasted 3 full series and several xmas specials so has done it for quite a while. also matt smith is getting in demand to do films and he couldn't do that if he was still dr who so can understand why he left RE: Dr Who - bigguy01 - 05-06-2013 15:30 also dr who is getting quite big in the states now which means matt smith and co would or could be getting offers of tv or film work just like karen gillan who has been casted has a villian in the marvel guardians film. also that is why there won't be a female doctor for while yet. RE: Dr Who - bytor - 05-06-2013 16:54 Why does that mean there won't be a female Doctor any time soon. Hoping there won't be but would not rule anything out with Moffat. The show has had a large following in the states for years and if I'm not mistaken American money has been invested in the series in recent years. Hence some of the shows being filmed in the states. Just checking to make sure my calendar is not stuck on April 1st. It will be the final death knell for the show if true. Moffats remit has to be to kill the show off once and for all. Oh shit. If this is true - that will even surpass the stupidity of that fucking red lobster thing hidden under an old woman's dress. Moffatt is an absolute cretin if he destroys the show. Rapidy losing respect for him anyway after some truly awful stories this season. Is this really the same bloke who gave us the excellent 'Blink' and 'Empty Child' adventures with Tennant and Eccleston? Just fucking go Moffatt - let someone else who cares about the show pick it up again. If its a new doctor, I think there should be new writers. Moffatt's been part of the set up since it was rebooted in 2005 with Eccleston and RTD and if he is thinking of a female doctor, he clearly doesn't care about it anymore. I was looking forward to the 50th anniversary & Christmas special. Now its not so much excitement, its fear of what shit this guy's going to give us next. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 05-06-2013 18:01 matt smith on top gear on bbc3 right now RE: Dr Who - bytor - 05-06-2013 18:17 (05-06-2013 17:22 )Regenerated Wrote:(05-06-2013 06:23 )bytor Wrote: Daily Star is reporting that Michael Jacksons daughter is going to be the new Doctor Who. According to Doddle its not true. Just the papers being sensationalist and twisting stories as usual. Moffat is on record as saying he would like a female or black Doctor though. RE: Dr Who - Regenerated - 05-06-2013 19:09 My point is that Moffat is considering it. It is bad enough that he's even considering such a ludicrous idea. He's supossed to only have 13 regenerations. Trouble is, he wasn't in demand before doing doctor who, goes with it that you'll get other offers, the bbc should pic a good replacement and have them in exclusive contract. |
