RE: Cricket Banter - Charlemagne - 10-05-2015 08:22 There's a lot of ex England captains calling for Aussie Jason Gillespie to be named as the next England Manager RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 10-05-2015 22:58 It would be a step down if Dizzy took the England job,he already has the best job in cricket. It is no good just giving him the same bunch of shit, pride less, feeble minded, scared players as Moores had. We are in a similar situation that the aussies were in before the last home series here. Lehman was given complete power and restored pride, even in losing 4-0 you could tell they were starting to build some good spirit and fight. We need the same. RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 10-05-2015 23:42 Peter Moores should never have been appointed in the first place as England coach. Sacked by another man who should not have been appointed to his current position i.e Andrew Strauss. Alastair Cook should never have been appointed as England captain either and was helped to be dismissed by yet another man who should never have been appointed i.e Paul Downton. A whole plethora of incompetent yes men ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Cricket Banter - Charlemagne - 29-05-2015 23:30 Well done to Jimmy Anderson on being the 1st England player to get 400 test wickets.. He's now 9th on the all time list for quick bowlers. 4 wicket behind Curtly Ambrose RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 30-05-2015 14:14 Alastair Cook has now overtaken Graham Gooch to become England's leading run scorer in Test Cricket passing the previous record of 8900 runs. RE: Cricket Banter - lovebabes56 - 01-06-2015 20:30 how very refreshing to hear Jason Gillespie on 5 live just now I love the sheep station remark!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just hope he doesn't get too much ribbing from the Yorkshire players about it!! Trevor Bayliss is on 5 live now.... RE: Cricket Banter - Charlemagne - 05-06-2015 19:36 Just heard the sad news that 27 year old Craig Kieswetter has retired from cricket because of an eye injury The ball got through the helmet grille & he sustained a broken nose and damage to his eye socket and cheekbone during the match against Northants last July. Nearly a year after the injury Craig still has problems with his vision and has now decided to retire from the sport.
