It pains me to see the once proud Rangers playing such shabby football. Mind you the pitch looked a quagmire and wouldn't have been acceptable in English Division One. Now imagine Scotland decides, foolishly to go independent....will SKY even bother to cover Scottish games? RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 08-04-2014 19:12 Well I have my ticket for Saturday as I'll be going through to Ibrox to hopefuly see my Dundee United team heap more misery on Rangers and more importantly also book us a place in the Scottish Cup Final On paper most would expect us to beat Rangers and based on what I seen on Sunday from them we should as they were truly awful. They couldn't pass the ball or even control the ball, infact I've seen better performances coming from a Sunday pub team I do however expect Rangers to raise their game severely against us and my biggest fear is complacency from us. If we're switched on and play to our capabilities and the referee isn't a wanker then we should win the game quite comfortably RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 08-04-2014 19:30 I'm surprised that when Rangers got to semi, the tie wasn't moved to neutral venue, has virtually become a home game for Rangers RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 08-04-2014 19:56 Yes its an utter disgrace. Dundee United chairman Stephen Thomson raised this issue actually back in October as a what if scenario contrary to a lot of popular belief that he only begun to protest as soon as the draw was made. I just hope that this does not have a negative knock on effect for us. I think the best way for us to stick 2 fingers right up at the powers that be is to go out and give Rangers a hiding to nothing RE: Scottish Football - weeahlf07 - 09-04-2014 20:22 i dont think there is such a thing as a ref who isnt a wanker RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 12-04-2014 16:44 Well I'm a very happy Dundee United supporter tonight, fuck it we never needed a neutral ground afterall as yet again we managed to stuff the Ger's on their home patch. Not long back home. My voice is still a little bit hoarse, not to mention the fact that I near enough had 4 or 5 heart attacks throughout the duration of the match as it was tense stuff. Maybe I'm a bit biased here but the referee was indeed a complete wanker, he gave most of the decisions Rangers way and even denied us a Stonewaller of a penalty We never played at our best and I'll be honest with you the scoreline probably flattered us but I don't care a jot as Dundee United will play in this seasons Scottish Cup Final and that'll be another day out for me BTW - Changing the subject briefly. Now that I've passed comment on the match I wish to pass comment on the facilities at Ibrox. The toilet was a fucking disgrace, the dirty bastards never bothered to clean it for our visit. I arrived early at the ground and the smell of piss was overbearing. I'm glad I never needed to take a shit as the toilet cubicle didn't even have a seat or any toilet roll Who gives a fuck anyway or a shit for that matter Dundee United are in the Scottish Cup Final Tomorrow the the other Semi Final gets underway between Aberdeen and St Johnstone. The winners ofcourse will Play Dundee United in the Final to be held at Celtic Park on Saturday 17th May. RE: Scottish Football - sweetsugar007 - 12-04-2014 16:59 Terrible that in 2014 football grounds have facilities like that still. RE: Scottish Football - weeahlf07 - 12-04-2014 18:48 to be fair that club will soon cease to exist (again) so cleaning the toilets is the least of their worries. it is a shithole though RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 12-04-2014 19:20 Talking of loos, at Ayr United in the away end terracing, the women's loo is a portaloo |
