RE: Tour de France - Kevin555 - 27-06-2021 17:19 Hi Todays stage won by Mathieu vander Poel Pure pedigree, his brother is a cyclocross rider, his father is a cyclocross rider winner 6 times championship of the Netherlands and 2 stages TdF His grandfather is none other than Raymond Pouidor . winner of the Tour of Spain and runner up TdF 3 times and 3rd 5 times, plus stages wins and also classics Raymond was also one of the most approachable of the retired rider and a very popular person on the tour caravan, sadly died in 2019 at age 83. He was also a proficient rose gardener and poker player. Great to see a family tradition continue |
