If anything we'll all soon find out how good our new players for our clubs will be won't we? I think some managers are shrewd enough to do good deals, but sometimes they don't always put their hands up when they got it wrong. I think that's the way it should be money, and I agree with you, I think premier clubs should always look in the lower leagues for talent before looking abroad for the next superstar. I might be wrong but didn't most of the 'Crazy Gang' at the old wimbledon club come up through the non league days together? I'm pretty sure they did, but I might be wrong.and yes it is great to see WBA, Swansea and Norwich use British based players, maybe more prem clubs will try to use more British players in their first teams this season would I love to see a week where clubs use just British players only for fixtures that week and no foreign players in the first teams, now that would gladden my heart so that we know there is talent out there preparing for 2014 & 2016.

Not only should clubs in the Premiership look in the lower leagues for talent, they should put more emphasis on their academy players

they used to do that liverpool especially but the price of UK players became vastly inflated that many teams went abroad for talent.

Yeah - English players especially are seriously over inflated... if only the money went back into football at grassroots rather then to agents

Well it looks like we won't be getting Luuk de Jong, as the asking price of 15 million is too much. We will be looking at other options to find another striker. Its very annoying though, I know he is FC Twente's player, but they just keep rising the transfer fee. First it was reported, they wanted 10 million, then 12 million, now they want 15 million. Its best we look at other players, thats too much money to spend

If Grant Holt's transfer request was written like this, it's no wonder Norwich turned it down Some good comments too
