I predict he will go to Man United for 25 million
RE: Football Banter - Money_Shot - 11-07-2012 21:52
I reckon they'd like to sell him abroad. I hope who ever it is he goes quickly. This has dragged on long enough as it is.
RE: Football Banter - dan g 27 - 11-07-2012 21:58
Well if he goes abroad it will probably be Real Madrid or Inter Milan, but Tottenham should ask for 25 million plus a player in exchange. I'm also hearing reports of Barcelona making a 8 million bid for Cabaye, ha thats such a ridiculous offer it makes me puke, try 48 million and we might consider
RE: Football Banter - Money_Shot - 11-07-2012 22:01
That's what Barce do though. It's a dirty little trick of theirs that works a treat.
The initial bid will be rejected, although will be enough to unsettle the player. The player will then start creating and making noises to the media. The club will then be held to ransom and Barce get their man on the cheap.
They done the same with Fabregash

He'll end up at PSG (Modric). Think they'll put the biggest bid in for him.
RE: Football Banter - dan g 27 - 11-07-2012 22:12
Well I hope its just a rumour, I think I remember Cabaye saying he's happy at Newcastle, but you never know in football anything can happen. Pardew said he would sell one of our better players if the right offer comes in, so if Cabaye does go I'm hoping for at least 40 million. Sometimes I find these stories hard to believe, as our whole first team have been linked with moves away. If players do move on, we always have our scouting system to find other hidden gems. I really hope we keep our squad together, because I have a feeling we can win a major trophy next season

Jesus Christ if that happens, PSG could be challengers for the Champions League next season

I think some Newcastle fans wouldn't welcome Carroll with open arms if he ever did come back
