If he left it at that, it would sound fine. But he went on to insinuate that Brady had profited from the sexism row in that it has been a distraction from West Ham’s own problems - Keys claimed: "A by-product of all this of course is that it took her and West Ham out of the press. She knows, and so does everyone else, what a mess they made of trying to appoint Martin O’Neill, and she was getting it in the neck."

It may very well be true what he said, and fair enough he wants to explain himself, but I don't think going on the offensive was a good idea whilst trying to appear contrite at the same time. It's one or the other, really.

LADIES: You're in the queue in Topshop, shoes in your hand. Your friend sees a top she likes and throws it to you from the back of the queue, if there is nobody in front of you in the queue at the moment the top leaves your friends hands.... YOU ARE OFFSIDE!

It may be obvious to you, but the bookies have made Jeff Stelling the favourite (4/1 at Paddy Power).

I don't subscribe to Sky Sports myself but could I suggest Colin Murray so I don't have to listen to him on 5Live Rolleyes annoyed

Wow Master, that's EXACTLY what SKY need to get!

I'd heard that Eamon Dunphy was controversial on RTE but hadn't actually SEEN footage for myself before. You Irish are SO lucky to have real hard-hitting pundits like Dunphy and Johnny Giles on your panel; I think that sometimes the panel is far more entertaining than the football itself.

Eamon Dunphy jumps straight to the top of my most-wanted for SKY pundits list - he and Giles even made Graeme Souness look like a fence-sitter in the Jamie Redknapp mould in one of the clips. I would urge EVERYONE to check out the above links - Yoda, if I hadn't already repped you you'd get one just for this post, mate!

Rodney Marsh and Souness should make up the supreme dream team of SKY pundits together with Dunphy and Giles; that lot would be compulsive pay-per-view encrypted viewing, the equivalent of having an afternoon show with Lexi Ward and Tilly Hardy doing their stuff on the babe channels!TongueHeart

Unfortunately, those panty-wetting bunch of wussies at SKY will now take the safest possible option and go with some bland yes-man fence-sitters!

Perhaps SKY SPORTS might consider having a safe version panel for the lilly-livered and a hard-core version on another channel made up of said heavyweights above! Something to think about...

Glad you liked the links lindor. Yes Eamon Dunphy never ever minces his words. His post match analysis is the stuff of legend here in Ireland. He makes some toe curling remarks that would have the BBC and SKY running for cover!!!

Below is perhaps his most famous rant. It was a couple of days after Roy Keane's acrimonious departure from Manchester Utd back in 2005. Dunphy had been a friend of Keane and ghost-wrote his controversial auto-biography. It gets really really heated the further into the video it goes. (Somehow i dont see the dull Alan Hansen at BBC or Jamie Redknapp of SKY reacting like this!!!) Sound quality could be better.

And below, in typical fashion, he voices his opposition to reports linking Terry Venables with the then vacant Rep. of Ireland managers job which was eventually given to Giovanni Trappatoni.

Somehow i doubt SKY will go down this route!!! It'd certainly be entertaining.

Thanks for that Master! Great stuff! I think that after viewing those footages, if I were SKY SPORTS I'd be shaking Eamon Dunphy's hand and asking him when he can start.

He'd be a fantastic breath of fresh air and would surely boost SKY's football viewing figures, especially when the pre-, post- and half-time analyses were being aired.

And isn't there more than a touch of the Alex Higgins's about him...Smile

I dont think he is actually lol!!! He played for them as a youngster but never made the grade, then went on to play for Millwall and after that he became a journeyman. He gives United as much stick as he does any other team. He just loves to be controversial. He just gives both barrels to whichever team he's analysing!!! A lot of people here in Ireland think he's a bit of a twat but i'm a big fan. I just have to laugh at him even when he lays into Liverpool. He once described Steven Gerrard as a nothing player and Xabi Alonso as a passenger!!!!! Gotta love him!!!
