Rod " the plod " Lawler is through to the QF. Normally Rod is slower than coastal erosion in his matches and then loses, in this format , he has to play faster and he gets better results.

He should speed up for all his matches. Better for him and the spectators.

I think Rod Lawlor is one of the reasons this tournament is so great. It's basically FA Cup 3rd round giant-killing in action. It's the chances (admittedly slim) for all those sad sacks that Barry has painstakingly kicked off the Tour, to return like cheeky ghosts and go "how many nightmares will you have if we win, Barry? ahahahahahahahahahaaha!"

Give me a Barry Pinches or Rod Lawlor in a tournament any day.

Pleased for him.
The man who kept missing final blacks for 147s has something to celebrate by winning the Shoot Out.
He is one quick dude around the table.

Delighted, not least because I think Michael Holt's a prick (and not just for knocking Barry Pinches out along the way). Whether it will translate much (as it hasn't for Michael Georgiou, Michael White or others) remains to be seen.

Some poor lass lost to a 133 total clearance from Malaysia's "Rory Thor".

RE: World Snooker Shootout - Doddle - 23-02-2020 09:42

Ronnie and defending champ Thepchaiya lost yesterday, but Hawkins and Murphy remain.

Michael Holt the eventual winner beating Zhou Yuelong in the final.

By making the final Zhou qualified for the Players Championship and denied Ronnie O'Sullivan the chance to defend it.

Boo, can't abide Holt.

Pleased Anthony Hamilton at least reached the quarter-finals.

This might be different without the baying crowd... starting Thursday.
