RE: Fabrice Muamba - 7 stars of the orient - 19-03-2012 01:26 That is a nice post groundnpound and very appropriate. RE: Fabrice Muamba - rickhardo - 19-03-2012 11:34 Just been down to the Reebok and I was very moved by the number of shirts and scarves from teams all over the country and the many messages of support for Fab and his family. It's a really worrying time for us Wanderers and the thoughts, prayers and support of the rest of the sporting family is very much appreciated. He told police he was innocent and his twitter account must have been hacked. People like that are also stupid, as proven in this case where he linked his twitter account to his facebook, so everyone could see his picture and what university he's studying at (which is Swansea). Needless to say it wasn't hard for the police to trace him and put him under arrest. RE: Fabrice Muamba - terence - 19-03-2012 14:09 I think everything has already been said.hope the lad gets better and plays football again. RE: Fabrice Muamba - rickhardo - 19-03-2012 18:13 Encouraging news that Fab has moved his arms and legs on his own and a friend has reported that he has said a few words. EDIT - He's also able to breathe unaided and recognise family members. A long way to go but the signs seem good. RE: Fabrice Muamba - oldboy1047 - 19-03-2012 19:13 great news hopefully the improvement will continue RE: Fabrice Muamba - dan g 27 - 19-03-2012 21:07 Glad there are some signs of improvement, still praying he makes a full recovery RE: Fabrice Muamba - Scottishbloke - 19-03-2012 21:13 Also like to say I hope Muamba makes a full recovery and full credit must go to the medical staff who saved his life, also the sportsmanship shown throughout the 2 sets of supporters was very touching and showed that us football fans do infact know the meaning of the word compassion. The whole ring of the event brought back horrible memories of what happened to Phil O'Donnell back in December 2007 when he collapsed on the field of play in a game between Motherwell and Dundee United in which unfortunately he later sadly passed away, fortunately Muamba has managed to pull through and great news to hear he is showing signs of improvement, my thoughts are ofcourse with his family and friends and wish him well into making a full and healthy recovery. RE: Fabrice Muamba - bigguy01 - 19-03-2012 21:43 since marc vivien foe collapsed and died during an international match the health and fitness checks on players are alot better and look at everything from diet and to medical history of the players family to try to spot potential health problems. there are a few top class cardiac hospitals around the country and fortunatly he was near one. hopefully he can play again in the prem league next season. also want to say condolences to liam kelly whose father jack kelly who collapsed and died after the scottish league cup.
