In the 1st match West Indies beat New Zealand......... after both teams tied their 20 overs on 139, it went to a super over,New Zealand scored 17,but helped by a no ball and a couple of 6's West Indies scored 18 in just 5 balls.So this means England have to beat hosts Sri Lanka in the next game.

Looks like England don't know their best team.They keep swapping between Bresnan & Dernbach, Briggs & Patel.

Seems to be the same old story....... losing early wickets cost England,Sri Lanka scored 169-6 in their 20 overs,but even a brave late stand between Patel & Swann couldn't help(Patel made 67) England ended on 150-9 after 20 overs......... Sri Lanka & West Indies advance to the semi Finals.

Too many of the team under performed...
Dernbach was poor, and Bresnam failed to impress, even Broad and Swann were mediocre.
Only Finn, Wright, Morgan and Patel have shown any form.
And big Kevin was badly missed

Australia lost to Pakistan by 32
runs but knew that chasing 150 a score of 112 would put them into the semi finals on run rate.

India beat South Africa by 1 run,but failed to make the semi finals due to an inferior run rate.Sri Lanka play Pakistan on Thurday 4th Oct. Australia take on West Indies on Friday 5th October.

Sri Lanka win the toss & post 139-4.Not an easy pitch to bat on,doesn't look a big score & looked like being 15
plus,but Pakistan's batting can be unpredictable.
