Nobody seems to be mentioning Heskey, Emile Heskey.

Why is nobody mentioning Emile Heskey?

Heskey retired from international football in 2010.

Your best possible 11 contains 12 players. I don't think England would get away with that.

When do we know the 23 (or is it 30)? and I think it was very bad luck that Townsend's injury has ruled him out of the World Cup which I think is likely to be one of the most exciting for years!! I think if the injury hadn't happened, Townsend probably would have been part of the squad. He probably would have been a starter for at least two of the games.

And how many stadia are likely to be anywhere near a completed state before the start?

I would have thought the loss of Townsend is a blow Hodgson would have done without. I just hope Woy get's the mix right but I really do hope that no one lese drops out before the squad is named. I think Andros would have been suited to Brazil i'm sure, but I know his chance will come again.

I still think Heskey deserves a mention.
