In reality it's very unlikely he could get bail if convicted. He would need very strong and compelling evidence that the verdict was wrong before he could even ask a court for bail, since the possibility of bail is not normally available simply because someone is appealing a conviction.

Defence has started to discredit the prosecution case, contaminated evidence etc. As for bail, the guy has killed and shouldnt be allowed bail, until its settled imo.
