RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-07-2013 11:04 Worst possible start for England,as Harris takes the wicket of Bresnan with the first ball of the day & finished with 5-72.But Broad & Swann added 28 for the 10th wicket to give England some momentum. England 361 all out RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Rammyrascal - 19-07-2013 11:12 361 isn't a bad total given how bad England started being 28-3 RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - SOCATOA - 19-07-2013 11:16 Am I the only one who thinks cricket has lost it's way since moving from BBC. Sitting with a beer watching on BBC was the norm for many years, money rules now. Sad really. Sitting with a beer watching on BBC was the norm for many years, money rules now. Sad really. BBC got out-bided by Sky who now bankroll cricket in this country. The same as Football, moving the FA Cup Final kickoff to suit TV viewing figures. They made the Domestic ODI Final from Lords a Day/night match which means travelling supporters have no option but stop overnight in London adding to the cost. The T20 Finals day is the same. RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-07-2013 12:56 Big wicket from Bresnan before Lunch to dismiss the dangerous Watson, who wasted a review,Rogers out lbw to Swann & doesn't review when he would've been saved. Australia 52-2 RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Rammyrascal - 19-07-2013 14:11 Australia now 104/9 !!!!!! RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Charlemagne - 19-07-2013 15:47 England must enforce the follow on... As Swann has bowled the majority of the overs the quickies should all be fresh.. Australia currently 124-9 and still need 38 runs to avoid the follow on. Edit; England didn't agree and have decided to bat themselves with a lead of 233 RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Rammyrascal - 19-07-2013 15:59 australia all out for 128. england are not enforcing the follow on and will bat again England finish on 31-3 in second innings, giving them a lead of 264 going into day 3 tomorrow RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-07-2013 18:08 So much time left in the match made it easy for England to not enforce the follow-on.Let the pitch wear some more,it's a long series & hot weather England can beat Australia either way. Can't believe than Bresnan is out first ball of the day & finds himself batting again as Nightwatchman after 16 wickets fell in the day. RE: England V Australia 2013-14 Ashes - ODI & T20 Series - bigguy01 - 19-07-2013 18:36 bresnan is not an allrounder has he has not scored that many runs for england. kp needs to be dropped. the aussies need to learn very quickly when to use the drs. if rogers had referred the decision then the rest of the day would have been different. cook has cocked it up by not enforcing the follow on, it should aussies 31-3 needing 202 with 7 wickets to make england bat again on a wicket that is now suited to the bowlers than the batters. |
