RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Rammyrascal - 12-02-2014 12:45 my sentiments also Charlemagne. Chemmy did very well today and can be very proud of herself having come back from several serious injuries including most recently breaking her leg in august last year. she has one more event to do on Saturday, the super G and then she will end her Olympic career. she's one of my fav gb sportswomen because she's gorgeous with a great sense of humour, howed a lot of determination and toughness battling back from her injuries, never letting the injuries get her down and has been a very good skier for team gb and when she wasn't in team gb nice article and videos about chemmy on the bbc winter Olympic website http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/winter-olympics/25925413 bit of fun trivia about chemmy. as a teenager she was on the same GB Ski Team as Mollie King who went on to find fame as part of the girlband the saturdays well today's the day ive been looking forward to as it's the start of the Men's Ice Hockey Tournament at teatime this evening RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Charlemagne - 12-02-2014 12:46 Apparently one of the Canadian curling girls is having problems with her drawers Or should that read draws Kaithlyn Lawes is quite foxy RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Snooks - 12-02-2014 13:13 GB lost 9-6 to Canada in the womens curling. They are up against it now to qualify for the semi finals. A good run of wins is needed. The one consolation is that they have played two of the big hitters already in Sweden and Canada. RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Ram - 12-02-2014 16:10 Shame about today's result .... However it's still early days and we've already played the two best teams. Now for a great run from Eve and the team and just maybe they will beat both the Canadians and the swedes later in the competition ! As for Eves last shot, it was all or nothing and unfortunately it didn't come off this time..... However WHEN she tries this again later in the competition I'm sure she will have the confidence to be successful and who knows it could be a medal winning shot ! Time for the girls to move onwards and upwards !! RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - mikedafc - 12-02-2014 18:26 Probably need 5 wins from 6 now. Given how the Canadians had played it would have been a big risk to take the 2 and give the opposition the chance of having last stone in the extra end and as she had an opportunity to try and get the 3 and win the match, I don't blame her for attempting the shot she did. Ok it didn't work out for her but that is just how it goes sometimes. Still believe the team will make playoffs (12-02-2014 13:24 )malicious fan Wrote:(12-02-2014 13:13 )snookered147 Wrote: GB lost 9-6 to Canada in the womens curling.thats 1 gud thing that they hav alreaady played the swedes and the canadians, but i mentioned the uva day about eve on here sumtimes i feel she has a mental block lets call it and i didnt want to say it but i was just trying to be truthful even if it pissed people off on here it mite hav done! she cud hav got the 2 in the 10th end to level the score but she went for the 3 to win the match. if she had pulled it off we wud all be saying it was the rite shot but maybe now she mite hav thought differently! iv not heard an interview yet so i dont know if she feels like she played the rite shot or not, but in hindsight make the 2 and let canada have the hammer in the extra end and we saw the german men mess up at the end of their match with the last stone against gb so canada mite hav messed up as well, who knows! im not having a go at eve and i want to see her win just as much as any 1 else and still hope they can get the wins needed to get through, im not sure how many more losses they can have though but really hope they can do it! RE: Winter Olympics - Sochi 2014 - Charlemagne - 13-02-2014 07:50 The GB ladies curling team has just beaten China on the last end 8-7. Eve may have blown the last match against Canada but she drew the winning shot this morning. This dreadlocked guy is as mad as a March hare, and comes with his trousers hanging below his ass. Where I come from he'd be done for flashing Present position is James Wood in medal contention after his first run |
