Brilliant innings by England 408 for 9 in their 50 over.
It's Englands highest score beating their previous high score of 391.
New England were magnificant, Root, Buttler, Rashid and Morgan. Even Plunkett hit 2 sixes in the last over

Phenomenal batting, I like the team.... would prefer seeing Taylor in for Billings and Mooen for Roy for the added bowler option and Willey in for variety... but that is just personal preference and I am sure all the players will get a chance. The main thing is at last we attack attack attack and play modern cricket.
Yes there will be bad times, but keep this philosophy and there will be more positives than negatives

Went to the game today and watched a magnificent performance by a new look England, their performance with the bat was a joy to watch, they seem to have long last thrown of the shackles and tried to catch up with the modern way of playing. It was a complete performance with bat and ball, their best against a major cricket playing nation in a long time. Well done the boys.
Great weather, a few beers and England score 400 plus, does it get any better

When I first saw the sore I thought t was a wind up!!
I thought 'WTF - England never score that many!!'
Well done to the team it's a pity they never reproduced this when it mattered in the world Cup!!

The only down to the match was that both new boys failed to make an impression.
However Rashid has sealed his place in the team
Struass and temporary manager Paul Farbrace must be praised for their attack minded policy

It'll be good to se what the new coach we have does with the ODI side
And it shows we can play well without KP too!!
