I guess how many of us are going to realise that MS are going too far with the way that MS may use their personal data and search histories.
I wonder if they could convince the EU commission with any explanation this time.
I wonder if the EU commission would have the power to stop any further 10 upgrades being bought and order MS clean up their act with it and give users more safeguards with their personal data.
Clearly MS has got to the point where the little guy has no say in how any personal data is used, and something needs to change.

I think Ms has again made the mistake of putting out an OS which probably has more bugs in it than a bush Tucker trial!! Tongue

Seriously, though, I got off the MS bandwagon years ago and switched to Linux - it's fantastic, IMO. Smile

Obviously, it's different to Windows, so there's a learning curve (though not as bad as I expected, tbh), and while I wouldn’t pretend it's perfect (what is?), I've no regrets, and wouldn’t consider going back... Smile

I often think that many people give up on Linux simply because it's not Windows! Huh

Wow reading all this makes me want to keep windows 8.1.

So far I can't see any advantages of upgrading to win 10, besides the new start button. But as I already got used to how it is now, It really don't bother me enough to upgrade just for that.

I think I will stay with 8.1 until someone can tell me a good reason to update from 8.1 to 10.

i would make the jump, i know i have the experience to make it a pretty painless transfer. but its just not well enough supported on the gaming side. nvidia are now putting some effort into linux drivers but there far from perfect.
to may competing distros. to many self styled elitist gurus recomending this 1 over than and if your not using what they consider to be the best they just wont help you. even with the basics. for me the biggest problem with linux is the comunity and thats not a good sign for its growth.

dont get me wrong theres lots of things i like about it. open source is the future IMO but were just not there yet.
