I can see them now - packing their backroom staff with most of the class of '92!! and picking a full Manchester based squad from Both City & United for England!! That will go down well with the rest of England!!

I think whoever gets the rather thankless job of being the next England manager needs to look beyond just the Premiership for it's pool of players. Wales especially and other UK teams (and the Irish Republic) have players from the Champoinship and even the now First Division and Wales have certainly proved they can do better than. England with a squad of lower league players.
Will the new England manager or England Football association have learned any lessons from Euro 2016, the success of Wales and failure of England? I doubt it!

I don't know who would want the job, the FA don't support managers ability to manage the team, The press seems to think it knows better than manager how to manage team as demonstrated with the John Terry situation before World Cup 2010
