Ah that's the name I couldn't remember nice one rpj316. Yes Kong was used several times and another Kong-like film made, 'Mighty Joe Young', that also used stop-motion animation.

O'Brien did the stop motion for Mighty Joe Young (1949)as well which features a gorilla with much note realistic movement,previous to this he worked on Mickey's Naughty Nightmares(1917)the first film to mix live action with stop motion animation.

I Know Wacky Races spawned a few off shoots didn't it? - and have always often wondered if Dick Dastardly & the Hooded Claw (from 'Perils of Penelope Pitstop' ) were voiced by one actor or not.

^^^ The Dick Dastardly voice actor didn't voice the hooded claw, he was in Perils of Penelope Pitstop though, he voiced Clyde, the mob/mafia character. He also voiced Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and gargamel from the Smurfs

Paul Lynde was the Hooded Claw voice and Mildew Wolf. Dick Dastardly was voiced by Paul Winchell. Lynde was not credited as the Hooded Claw for some reason. Dick Dastardly and Muttley In Their Flying Machines was the spin off of Wacky Races. Wacky Races was inspired by 'The Great Race' a comedy film starring Jack Lemmon(Dick Dastardly) and Tony Curtis(Peter Perfect character) Lemmon's was the scheming Professor Fate, who cheats like Dastardly to win the race with Columbo's Peter Falk as Max(the Muttley character) It is a very funny film and features a big custard pie fight(which normally I don't find funny) but Lemmon's character as a King(he plays dual roles) is hilarious.
