Two weeks of watching a ball being whacked endless over a net for 2 hrs-no! I am deadly serious I've hated Wimbledon ever since I used to be confined to bed with a cold nearly every time it was on,during the Summer

The counter opinion is not to post in a thread about something that you hate / dislike. It's far easier.

Touché! you take things far too seriously but I'm not going to argue over it-leave it there and an end to it. Cheerio Smile

For crying out loud Wimbledon is only on for 2 weeks of the fucking year, I really could not give a flying fuck about programmes like the one show, Doctors, Pointless, homes under the hammer etc getting moved/postponed.

You clearly have way too much time on your hands by watching daytime TV anyway

Ease off guys the 'G' is just offering his opinion!! However I don't think you can claim saturation coverage (only two in every 52 weeks). At least this year (or perhaps only because no front line Briton involved) not switching of other programmes (news for one) to other channels to accommodate it. That was always nonsense - as if people couldn't press a button to change a channel.

I think we can all - or mostly agree - that the BBC retains it's saturation coverage for 'paint drying'....oh sorry, I meant football!!

It's more Bargain Hunt, the News, and whatever good drama series is on. Well when you're a carer you have a lot of time on your hands and sitting with my mother watching the television is cherished by me, because you never know when they won't be able to sit and enjoy it. I don't know why you feel such animosity, I've never spoken out against you and yet you come across as very unfriendly so I won't bother to reply to you or anyone else for that matter that has a go at me, life is too short and I have other people on here that are a damn sight friendlier.

I identify with both my own circumstances, and family also!!

Shame about having to go to a tie break when they are 12 games a piece in the 5th set.

Or Federer would still have been playing Djokovic. Rolleyes

I agree!! Last man standing is how it should have remained!! Less tennis lower prize money??

Come on, they don't want Mahut-Isner II. It's a wonder they settled on 12-12, really.

Well done to Djokovic, bad luck to Federer. This really must be the greatest age of men's tennis, with Nadal and Murray and 1 or 2 others.
