I did see a comment i think it was Eddie howe who said something that went along the likes of 'why aren't managers informed earlier of rule changes with the referees association before the start of sesson or something?'

No the referees just haven't been trained property to use it effectively

VAR is badly in need of a review.
The Nottingham Forrest defender got sent off for two yellow cards. But the referree got the second yellow card badly wrong, infact it was him who was fouled, and VAR aren't to over rule yellow cards.

Just to be clear, VAR can't overrule anything. VAR van only advise and recommend.

its not the VAR its the people using it

should be like rugby and they have to transparantly talk through there decisions

Just when you think that VAR couldn't get any worse they produce two terrible decisions at Everton and Burnley.

Bring back the stocks annoyed

VAR didn't produce a decision in the incident you refer to at Burnley as you claim. In truth, the decision was made by the referee on the field of play. VAR merely chose not to intervene and VAR was actually correct not to intervene. A poll on TalkSport showed that 53% thought the goal was good and 47% thought it was a foul on the goalkeeper. In a close call like that there can't be any evidence that the referee on the field was clearly and obviously wrong, just evidence that the decision was debatable. In those circumstances VAR would always be correct in not intervening, so in this instance VAR worked exactly how it was meant to work.

We now seem to have referee's making bad decisions and VAR chickening out of asking him to check on his monitor. They just back his original decision all the time.

Yesterday the referee made a doublely bad decision. He gave a penalty and sent a man off for the second bookable offence, and it wasn't even a foul. And the VAR failed to refer back to the ref.

Decisions like this have cost us about 10 points this season. annoyed
