Babes with Bikes? pffft. I'll stick with real Professional Cyclists who wipe the floor with 99% of Babe Channel types.

Allow me to drift slightly off-topic, or should that be off-road. Former Giro d'Italia winner Nairo Quintana has injured his knee when a car knocked him down while attempting to overtake him & his support team in his native Colombia. He was lucky to have not sustained a more serious injury than a swollen knee, which will keep him out of action for 2 weeks.
This acts as a stark reminder, when an accomplished pro-cyclist has been involved in an accident while out training without all the benefits of marshalling and road closures that would has normally been in place had it been an organized event.

In Kingston Upon Hull, (posh name, 'ull for short) from Monday they bus lanes which operate only in peak hours will be used 24/7. They double up as cycle lanes & link up with stand alone cycle lanes, allowing cyclists to travel throughout the city centre. This hasn't gone down to well with motorists. These improvements were the minimum requirement for the area to receive government funding.

Cycling in fog today & the amount of vehicles that though it was ok to not drive without their lights on was quite alarming. As usual a lorry decided to cut me up on a roundabout, I had already pulled on, so had right of way to those waiting ahead of me, but this guy couldn't wait.

TBH I don't think that this is actually a Tory thing.
It's about the politicians trying to act in accordance with the perceived mood of the country. Can you imagine what the Green's would do.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the planning office. Cyril the cylist manipulating every decision to bash the motorist.

Truck Drivers have a schedule to keep. You can't blame them for a minor error when they're rushing to murder another Prostitute.

What's are your views on the new Highway Code revised rules, brought in to better protect cyclists & pedestrians. It came into force on Saturday, & is already kicking up a storm with some. As is often the case, an awareness campaign is to follow belatedly on Feb 14. As road users we are all surely obligated to be up to date with this information. It's been reported that a third of the country are not aware of the changes, & more concerning, 4% weren't interested, & had no intention of looking at the new rules.
