Tadej Pogacar became the 1st rider for 42 years, to claim a Tour de France-Giro di Lombardia double, winning the last monument race of the season. Only Fausto Coppi, Eddie Merckx, & Bernard Hinault have achieved the feat before. Pogacar beat Fausto Masnada in a sprint. Britain's Adam Yates finished 3rd.

Anyone watching the Cyclo-cross World Championship on Eurosport?

If not you're missing a treat. Tom Pidcock is smashing it!

^^ That man Pogacar was at it again, just dominating races. Valverde, who is to retire this year, was 2nd, with Asgreen in 3rd.
Hats off to Alaphilippe, as he demonstrated with perfection, a couple on forward roles.

Fantastic stage in the Giro today Santena to Torino

G holds a 2 second lead over Roglic after Stage 11 of the Giro. Tao is out of the Tour with a fractured hip, G & Roglic both came down in the same incident but were able to continue. Ineos are now down to 6 riders which may hinder the chances of Thomas, if he has hopes of making it all the way to Rome. With Evenepoel out it could become a straight battle between 1 & 2for the GC. It's cycling, so much can happen with some tough days ahead.
Cav got beaten on the line in yesterday's sprint, which was his best & maybe last chance of a stage win, the crashes must be taking their toll, & with another potential chance of breaking the TDF Stage win record on the horizon, there must be some doubt he will finish the Giro.

Roglic overcame a 26 second deficit to Thomas in a dramatic time-trial as he even dropped a chain in the process.
Thomas is a class act, what a gent, & showed great humour when interviewed, he mst be devastated to miss out on a win. Many experts have written him off as a genuine contender in a Grand Tour at his age, but he has proven them wrong.

Gino Mader the 26 year old Team Bahrain Victorious cyclist who crashed at high speed going downhill and landed in a ravine at the Tour de Suisse yesterday has sadly died.

Rumours are circulating that Mark Cavendish has signed for another year with Astana. Personally I'd rather he stuck to his decision than sign for another year with a team with so much dodgy history.
