John Swinney and Joanna Cherry have both ruled themselves out of any leadership bids.

To quote Father Ted...."That money was just resting in my account"

I'm sure they'll find a suitable candidate or 2. The SNP is packed with people who are as talented as those in the Labour or Conservative Parties Wink

oh....did anyone say "Unelected First Minister" yet? laugh

Humza Rolleyes and Ash Regan both declared.

If Forbes or Regan get it, or even a Forbes/Regan team, be interesting to see what happens with the gender bill.
Because that's pretty much what finished Sturgeon, if it wasn't skeletons rattling.

Would either risk pushing it any further?

No. Just the opposite.

Yousaf running as the Sturgeon legacy candidate Rolleyes Regan still talking about the de facto referendum nonsense.

Leaving Forbes the only one talking any sense, so far.

Kate Forbes tells Channel 4 News that she would of voted against same sex marriage but will not seek to overturn it.

In response, The Scotsman's Westminster Correspondant Alexander Brown tweeted that a senior member of Forbes campaign has said "she has fucked it".

Abysmally stupid thing for her to say when running for the leader of a Social Democratic party in a socially liberal country

No, I don't think that'll damage her. Yousaf, however, is falling into the same trap as Sturgeon on the gender bill.

She didn't read the room up here. Unbelievably the Westminster Tories did and played her like a fiddle.

Not surprised myself as Kate Forbes is apparently an Evangelical Christian who is anti-abortion & anti LGBT
