I watched it, and for me, with the exception of Djokovic's brilliance in the second set, overall I was disappointed with it. I sensed the crowd were a little bit fed up too. I don't know what happened to Nadal. I know Djokovic has kind of got his number at the moment (that's the fifth time Djokovic has beaten Nadal this year and for no reply), but you'd have expected Nadal to have found the extra level at some point.
Djokovic is the man of the moment right now, and is now new World Number One. That second set when he blew Nadal away with 6-1 was amazing. Shows why he's only lost one match this year. I always think its a bit of a shame though when the men's final doesn't quite deliver in terms of overall quality.
Looking forward now to the US Open. I'm actually hoping to go to New York for a couple of weeks in August. I need a break. I plan to catch some of the tennis while I'm over there. Already got tickets for the opening day's play on 29th August.

Serena's defeat opens up the entire womens event now.
Everyone will feel they have a decent shot at winning the title.

It is really a shame that the commentators made out that Serena must have had injury or maybe lacked motivation rather than praising the performance of Alize Cornet who just outplayed Serena on the day
