I watched Almost Human online and really enjoyed it.
Still think its worth a watch if you've got the time, even if it is cancelled.

Also, look out for Black Sails, only available online at the moment, but a very good Pirate adventure set before Treasure Island. I think it gives Game of Thrones a run for it's money.

Could someone explain to me why people were even invested in tomorrow people? I thought it was terrible and it had the ratings to match it too. The initial premise was ok, but the writing was so bad that the decline in viewers couldn't happen fast enough.

I'd lump this with Helix as shows that could have been good if the writers weren't lobotomised monkeys that had to throw monkey wrenches into each episode that made little to no sense to create drama to move the story along.

As with a lot of these shows The Tomorrow People had fantastic potential but the script writing left a lot to desire. It became less of a compulsive watch as the series went on. But it was worth a second season to develop.

More renewed shows:

"Castle," "Grey's Anatomy," "The Middle," "Modern Family," "Once Upon a Time," "Resurrection," "Revenge," "Scandal" and "The Goldbergs."

Castle, Modern Family and Revenge getting renewed is great news, although I do now think Revenge needs to only go 5 seasons max, more than that would drag it out to ridiculous proportions. I'm not surprised to hear that The Tomorrow People has been cancelled, so much potential, but as usual, the greedy execs aren't willing to give it a chance to improve the little (and they are little imo) problems to take it from a good show to a great show. I'll never understand why shows like Beauty and the Beast and Hart of Dixie keep bringing in enough to be renewed, I've watched some of both and I just don't get it??

Oh and I'm still angry Firefly got cancelled...some of the decision makers need to be Archie slapped within an inch of their lives...cunts!

Excellent that AoS has been renewed (like there was any doubt), thanks for breaking that news in the AoS thread Kal-El Wink

American TV execuitives have a track record in destroying great tv series.
Babylon 5 back in the 90's was supposed to be a 5 year project, written and directed by Michael Strasynski. Series 1 was promising and series 2, astounding but then it was announced that it was only to be funded for 4 series. End result was that they tried to cram series 3, 4 and 5 into two series and ruined the overall feel. Have to agree about Firefly. A truly great series but at least they made the brilliant Serenity movie as a fitting legacy. Give it 5 years and those same tv executives will be funding a reboot Big Grin
Battlestar Galactica seems to have been the best of the bunch for potential being realised, though the last episodes could have been edgier imo.
As for The Tomorrow People I have to say it just seemed a stock formulae series to me. I remember the original uk series in the 70's as a child and loved it (tinted rose specs and all that) but this yank offering didn't really seem to do that justice.

Revolution, Crisis, Believe and Growing Up Fisher have all been cancelled by NBC.
