Not an inspiring example. And when that is seen, can you really put all the blame onto Ofcom for what will surely be the demise of these programmes in the not to distant future. Maybe if the programme makers show that these type of programmes deserve more respect, and not simply cash cows. Then Ofcom would be a little more leniant towards them, and also give a little respect. Just a thought. RE: Petition - cmiller - 20-02-2012 18:11 it comes across as a bunch of guys who have bought a couple of cameras from Dixons to film some girls and then stuck it on telly. take a look at Babestation: OSGs covering up to 50% of the screen, constant interruptions every 5 minutes flogging something or other. i'm surprised the girls haven't kicked their asses for, at times, making them look like twats. there's a lack of respect for the show, the babes and the viewers and if they're not careful they'll have the Advertising Standards Agency onto them for false/misleading advertising over their so-called "see everything" pics'n'vids they've got a great product, but they don't have a clue how to market it. i honestly believe that if i had their resources i could turn out a better show in less than a week RE: Petition - eccles - 21-02-2012 02:10 Hard to believe but the shows have actually toned down their excesses and improved quality. Pictures are fairly sharp and stable. OSGs have halved. Sometimes they even put the babes name on screen. Shows used to have tiny picture in picture that were too small to show anything but took space away from the main presenter. Sometimes they even had 5, 10 or 20 women on screen at the same time, making it impossible to see much. They could be shockingly amateur at times, but survived because they also showed a lot more. Improved but could do better. RE: Petition - cmiller - 21-02-2012 14:04 (21-02-2012 02:10 )eccles Wrote: Hard to believe but the shows have actually toned down their excesses and improved quality. Sometimes they even had 5, 10 or 20 women on screen at the same time 20 women on screen at once?? i only discovered the babeshows - BS and a couple more - about 3 years ago and have been watching regularly since they arrived on Freesat 2 years ago, so i'm not aware of alot that has gone on before, including the more controversial things, but i'm almost as frustrated with the makers of these shows as i am with Ofcom. i get annoyed when the cameramen start behaving like teenage boys - zooming in and out rapidly etc. they have no understanding of perspective. they will zoom in so close that you can't make anything out and zoom out when you want them to zoom in. the shows aren't produced with any craft or finesse. girls are getting criticised in these forums for being lazy, but i don't blame them because it's the producers that are encouraging it and allowing it to go on. they aren't making the most of what they've got i think that it's because they come across as so unprofessional, that they've allowed themselves to be bullied by Ofcom - who also aren't doing their jobs properly. Ofcom are definitely abusing their power when dealing with the babeshows RE: Petition - Scottishbloke - 07-03-2012 20:05 Well we currently have 52,881 members registered on this forum yet only 570 have bothered to sign the petition, this is serious and should not be taken lightly, recent events surrounding Ofcom trying to force the hand's of Cellcast now is a clear indication that the light that once shined so brightly throughout the whole of the babe channels is slowly dying away. We are on the brink of the Babe Channel apocalypse. Ofcom don't like porn and don't like anything that brings happiness to anyone in any shape or form. We are on the brink, the channels are no longer fun to watch and are living in fear of Ofcom as each passing night goes by. It's shameful that they ever found themselves in this position in the first place, when the concept for this type of entertainment was first thought up with Babestation being the very first to broadcast back in 2002 they could never have envisaged the problems that would lye ahead because I'm sure if they knew in advance just what a problem the censors would be they'd have more than likely pulled the switch on the whole idea and not bothered in the first place. Ofcom are imposing their will and have grown to such a size that our telly is more fitting now to a victorian era instead of the bright era that 2012 should really be. If the world doesn't end this year it might be the end of the line for the babe channels instead. Have you done your bit to make your feeling's noticed, if not expect RIP Babe Channel Threads to be popping up in the near future, time to sign the petition and stand up and be counted if not the ones who never signed will only have themselves to blame for this missed opportunity RE: Petition - shankey! - 07-03-2012 21:25 (07-03-2012 20:05 )Scottishbloke Wrote: Well we currently have 52,881 members registered on this forum yet only 570 have bothered to sign the petition, this is serious and should not be taken lightly, recent events surrounding Ofcom trying to force the hand's of Cellcast now is a clear indication that the light that once shined so brightly throughout the whole of the babe channels is slowly dying away. RE: Petition - Scottishbloke - 07-03-2012 21:48 Shankey yes you could have a channel called hot babes knitting jersey's, I'd fucking love to see the caps for these shows Fuck me that's the kind of late night entertainment we'll all be heading for soon RE: Petition - simplymarko - 07-03-2012 22:35 (07-03-2012 20:05 )Scottishbloke Wrote: Well we currently have 52,881 members registered on this forum yet only 570 have bothered to sign the petition, this is serious and should not be taken lightly, ok, the main fact here is yes there 52,881 members, however please flick through the registered members list and you will see almost 47,000 have either never posted or have posted just once. - this information is publicly available Most people who use this website just come on here to look at the latest pictures of Lori Buckby or whoever, they are not interested in Ofcom debates, this thread is just the same people ranting over and over again but not going anywhere No channels have openly backed this petition, does this not tell you something? I have said before that you need to move outside of circling this on the forum where you are clearly not getting the interest you feel the petition is worth but it is not a serious issue |
