Another gone missing performance from Andy today, he does seem to have these type of matches. This is why I do not think he will ever get the World number 1 spot.

It will be a decider between Murray and Wawrinka on Friday for a semi-final place.

Kyle Edmund lost 1st match of Davis Cup final losing in 5th sets to David Goffin who came from 2 sets down to win
3-6, 1-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0

A bit like Murray when he 1st played Wimbledon and lost against Nalbandian from 2 sets up. Kyle will learn a lot from this match as he is not used to playing over 5 sets and only by playing more 5 sets matches do you understand the fitness levels you need and how to pace yourself through them

Andy Murray Ruben Bemelmans(WR103) 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 to level tie at 1-1. The Murray brothers team up in the Doubles tomorrow

The Murrays won this afternoon, so it's 2-1 to GB Big Grin

Andy Murray has beaten David Goffin in a high quality and enthralling singles match 7-5 6-3 6-3 to seal a remarkable Davis Cup triumph for Dunblane ( sorry I mean Great Britain Wink ).
Goffin pushed Murray hard all the way through but the Scot held firm throughout to confirm a famous victory.
The first British win in the Davis Cup since 1936.

Yay Tongue

Watch tomorrow's headlines all be about football, though Wink

Kudos to David Goffin and the Belguim team in general for their efforts, they really gave it their all

Andy was brilliant and I have to say it won't be easy for us to defend it, but certainly the Belgians proved that we didn't get it all our own way, and they certainly did push us hard all the way through it and I don't know if rankings are affected by Davis cup performances but certainly it would seem that the Belgian guys that played, probably played way better than their ranking performances and I hope we will see them starting to perform better in Grand Slams, they certainly do deserve better rankings,

On the other hand we need to be able to play well also without Andy's involvement But for me this has to rank as being one of the best British team achievements of 2015 so has to be a strong contender the Team of the Year at the BBC SPOTY Awards
If I had to pick on their best match then I would say that the win over the USA was by far their most spectacular but to have beaten the French, the USA and Australia in successive round is probably something outstanding

Who would we face first in our first match in defence?
