^I wouldn't count on it. There's some lumpy stages coming up including a spin up the Col de la Colombiere on Saturday then Mont Ventoux in both directions in the same stage next Wednesday!

Those aren't the last of the mountains either.

I hope he is in with a shout in Paris but it will be tough going.

However on seeing what she did she did a runner.

There's a report on a French News Channel which says that a girl has been taken into Police custody. She is accused of involuntarily causing injury and putting the life of others at risk.

ASO have dropped the complaint against her.

^ Good, she was just a silly individual who wasn't paying attention to the races. And there's been worse examples of bad spectator behaviour.
They did sod all when bottles of urine were thrown at Sky riders a few years ago.

^ASO & UCI are more concerned with the length of rider's socks than with their safety.

There's been a quite sickening witch hunt against "placard woman" On Twitter. Personally I fall to see what could be gained by making an example of her. If you race on public roads then occasionally the public will get in the way.

Shit happens

First day in the Mountains and it's wet.

Apart from the GC situation with so many of the favourites out of the running, I'll have to rank the first week as one of the best I've seen. Every day had some amazing racing, & great stories to match.
