^^^ I hate to state the obvious here, but Italian football needs to seriously to sort itself out. The fans must be disgusted with the match fixing that has been going on over the years
Reading that Tiote article again, I just realised we got beat 4-1 by Cardiff with our first choice defence playing, but some key players in the first team not playing. I probably shouldn't be too concerned as it was just a friendly, but still . . . I hope our defence is tighter than that against Tottenham next Saturday

I agree entirely with that sentiment. Corruption seems to be a way of life in Italy (and one or two other countries). You would have thought lessons would have been learnt when Juventus were caught out a few years ago. Even some of the top players such as Criscito have been caught up in it all (though, in his case only questioned).
The sad thing is it inevitably weakens the game, not only domestically but also throughout Europe. Fans pay their hard earned money in the hope of seeing their teams play the best and (hopefully) beat the best in a fair and legitimate manner. They certainly do not want to watch a game knowing the final score before kick off!

Would love to know if FifA will rank Team GB's football perfromance or not? and i cannot se why the FA could make a formal application for GB be recognised as a team.

No they won't, as "Great Britain" is not a member of FIFA (as pointed out in another thread). I very much doubt that we will see a British team in any future Olympics. The only reason they were there this time is because they were the host country, and the idea of an Olympic football tournament in Britain without the host nation would have been unthinkable.
In any case, the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish would have something to say if the English FA ever tried to get GB recognised.
