I think it's a home game with Japan first next season. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Charlemagne - 30-11-2015 18:06 Well that's this years Sports Personality sorted. And they will probably win the team award as well RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - lovebabes56 - 30-11-2015 18:27 (30-11-2015 11:38 )jumbo_jim Wrote:(30-11-2015 06:35 )babelover48 Wrote: Who would we face first in our first match in defence? I still think Jessica Ennis Hill is the favourite in all honesty despite what the current bookies odds might say . Murray has won it before as has Lewis Hamilton. Ennis Hill has been a contender a few times and narrowly missed out so the cumulative appreciation could well kick in. The Davis Cup team I suspect will win the team award although the England womens football team may push hard. And Leon Smith may well win Coach of the year. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - mikedafc - 20-12-2015 16:42 The award for dedication to tennis has to go to Arina Rodionova, wins a Australian Open wild card semi final match in morning and then gets married in the afternoon RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - mikedafc - 05-01-2016 23:22 Brit Number 3 Naomi Broady got her 1st top 20 win at ASB Auckland event by beating Ana Ivanovic 7-5, 6-4 Heather Watson and Andy Murray won their 1st tie at Hopman Cup against France, Murray beat Kenny De Scheepers 6-2, 6-2, Watson lost to Caroline Garcia 3-6 ,7-5, 3-6 before they won mixed doubles match 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 Kyle Edmund beat Martin Klizan 6-2, 6-3 at Doha event RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - mikedafc - 06-01-2016 22:30 In Hopman Cup, Andy Murray lost to Kyrgios 4-6, 6-7, Heather won 6-7, 6-2, 7-5 to level tie before Heather and Andy lost mixed doubles 2-6, 7-6, 9-11. At ASB Auckland tournament Naomi Broady beat Jelena Ostapenko 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 coming from 1-5 down in final set. It was a stormy clash where Ostapenko threw her racket that hit a ballboy which Naomi suggested was deliberate and led to a row and an angry exchange at end of match. Kyle Edmund continued his Doha run reaching Q Finals with a 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 win over Daniel Munoz La Nava |
