RE: Scottish Football - lovebabes56 - 18-05-2014 09:07 must be a rare thing to have a Scottish Cup Final without Rangers or Celtic. RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 18-05-2014 16:46 Just watching the Championship Play Off Final and it doesn't look good for mikedafc and his beloved Pars side. Currently the score is Dunfermline 0 Cowdenbeath 3 with an aggregate scoreline of 4-1 in their favour. Barring a miracle Dunfermline will be consigned to League 1 for yet another season after finishing runners up to Rangers. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 18-05-2014 19:09 Well done Cowdenbeath, they had the quality up front that we sadly didn't today. Much disappointment for the 7,500 Pars fans in an 8,228 crowd today. Crowd turned up sadly the team didn't RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 18-05-2014 19:29 Well commiserations to Dunfermline, I think after this experience that they will bounce back next season as I'd put my money on them to be League 1 champions. Into the championship and well done today to Hamilton beating Falkirk 1-0 and 2-1 on aggregate. Hamilton will now host Hibernian on Wednesday with the return leg to be played next Sunday for the right to play in next seasons Scottish Premiership. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 18-05-2014 20:15 Sodding bloody Cowdenbeath! I'm pleased that Hamilton got the win, although I still expect Hibernian to "do a Cowdenbeath" next week I believe Stirling Albion were the other winners today so that's got shot of them RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 19-05-2014 18:22 I'd just like to state something, a lot gets made about football rivalry and I'd just like to state just what an easy afternoon the police must have had at Saturdays Scottish Cup Final. It was great that the 2 sets of supporters were able to mingle before and after the game without one ounce of trouble. I even shook a few hands and congratulated the St Johnstone fans after the game. This to me is what football should be about. I'd also just like to say what a nice gesture it was from Celtic football club to be posting their own personal congratulations to St Johnstone. http://www.celticfc.net/news/5903 Would they have done similar if it was Rangers that had won the cup, that's debatable to say the least RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 21-05-2014 20:45 In the first leg of the Premiership Play Off's it finished Hamilton 0 Hibernian, 2 goals from Jason Cummings sealed the victory. From what I seen Hamilton looked very tired whilst the Hib's players looked well rested and at no time did it ever look like Hamilton would score. The 2nd leg will be played on Sunday and you'd have to say barring a disaster that Hib's are probably safe for yet another season. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 21-05-2014 20:48 I knew it RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 22-05-2014 16:33 One story that has been dominating the headlines today has been the departure of Neil Lennon who has spent the last 4 years as Celtic manager. Henrik Larsson is the bookies favourite but one surprise to have made it onto the favourites list is David Moyes who is joint Second favourite alongside Jackie McNamara. Celtic couldn't afford Moyes even if they wanted him. Moyes might be an ex Celtic player but he is still a big time hun, he is on record as saying he would only return to Scotland as a manager if it was to manage Rangers. |
