England making a mess of this one,87-6 after 12.2 overs,2 needless run outs.

England 130-9

Very poor,a strong top seven selected & we have Bresnan & Broad at the crease in the last 5 overs when a top batsmen would be looking to get 12 an over.
I think we are about 50 runs short of a par total.

The wickets just kept falling for England and it's hard to see 130 being enough on what is a very good pitch. It was a miserable batting performance and England's bowlers just don't have enough to defend. Sad

I'm still predicting England to win. I'm expecting exciting cricket too! I'm an optimist. Smile

Optimism fading Rolleyes

I thought it would be close, how wrong could I be.Outplayed batting bowling fielding.

Looking like 11-1 in matches.
12-1 a real possibility now.
This tour really has been a calamity Sad.

The batting has been the biggest difference. Australia have been well superior in that department.

Andy Flower has gone then and England are looking for a new coach. It's been announced that he stepped down, but most likely he had no choice.

Even I am disappointed with that performance. On paper a strong England batting team against Australia C team bowling attack. I am running out of excuses.

On Flower - England have not been performing to their ability and sadly somebody had to go. I think he is right a fresh approach from the top is needed.

Agreed it has to start from the top.

Part of Flower's decision to step down was that he believes the best way forward in the rebuilding process is to have one coach for all formats, something he is not prepared to do after already negotiating to pass the ODI & T20 on to give him more time off.He is already in talks with a new coaching role at Loughborough.I hope England look for someone other than Ashley Giles.
