RE: Supergirl - Doddle - 12-01-2017 21:42 That's episode 5, then. It's weird, in the previous (or so) episode where the President is attacked at a press conference, I thought that was going to be Cadmus using weapons that framed it as a Kryptonite attack, but I don't know now whether I was mis-remembering something I might have read in this thread previously, because the actual explanation was comparatively disappointing. That whole strand was at least simplistic enough, and built towards Jimmy Olsen's forthcoming antics. The other strand about Mon-El trying to be an intern also seemed a bit dim, but then they turned that round to point out that it was a bit dim (!). If he was going to be an intern, why not have him learn skills from Winn before being let out from the DEO? They kinda touched on "well, Kara had years to learn before she became an intern", but why did nobody at the DEO point out to Kara what a dumb plan it was before she went ahead with it? Plus, if he needs a mentor, why not let him work with Hank? Why does he need a boring office job as a disguise? Then again, I notice Hank disappears quite quickly during this episode, and I don't think Snapper was in it at all. Good for giving Olsen space to develop, but if you're trying to keep so many character plates spinning like this, it really jars when you take some away. RE: Supergirl - *Kal-El* - 13-01-2017 17:27 "Supergirl Lives"Extended Trailer https://youtu.be/7FBVj9CQFMA RE: Supergirl - *Kal-El* - 14-01-2017 02:20 Ep 10 "We Can Be Heroes" Synopsis: LIVEWIRE IS SET LOOSE UPON CENTRAL CITY — After Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is intent on recapturing her. After training Mon-El (Chris Wood), Supergirl takes him with her when she sees Livewire attack the NCPD but things go awry when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) decides to come clean with Kara and M’Gann (guest star Sharon Leal), has a psychic attack and collapses into a coma. RE: Supergirl - Doddle - 18-01-2017 07:56 Woo, episode 6, bit easier again. Parasite is one of those characters which worked OK within the framework of this show. I thought it was a bit weird when it zaps Supergirl, and she's sent home to chill out, but then at the first call of trouble, she scoots off with no ill effects. Not even a little stagger so she can tell Mon-El that she's been attacked and he should watch out. Daft. RE: Supergirl - *Kal-El* - 21-01-2017 08:08 Ep 11 "The Martian Chronicles” synopsis: WHITE MARTIANS ATTACK THE DEO — Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M’gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the best way to keep M’Gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M’gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them. RE: Supergirl - Doddle - 21-01-2017 21:39 Obviously episode 7 must have been pretty easy. I liked the build for the Guardian angle by having him framed. Notably, Snapper reappears after a couple of quiet episodes (though he soon disappears after setting things up). Some of the Cadmus stuff was odd (though may be set up for later). Non-Hank calls himself Cyborg Superman, even though he appears to be a robot facsimile of Hank (I did expect the guy from eps 1 & 2, who I've clearly already forgotten, to feature here). At the episode end, it felt like a throwback to Smallville, though I recall the Fortress did appear earlier in the series. Jeremiah's miraculous rescue smacked of "trouble ahead" so perhaps there will be. The ongoing stuff with Jonn and Mghann has been nicely built so far too. And now to remember the order of the crossover episodes... There is a little link to invansion story that happened in the crossover you know it when you see it. Look out for the two sci fi show references. Also the development of Mon El was great and the ending raises a lot of questions in a good way. The Ep was directed by Kevin Smith and watch from a role from his daughter Harley Quinn Smith you can't miss her.
