No, she has a long history of working in football, including attending the last 3 World Cups. More recently, she's worked at the Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. It's her 3rd year working on cricket's Big Bash League.

Is Ben Stoke better than Sir ian botham was at 24? - lovebabes56 - 10-01-2016 08:26

Sir Ian thinks Ben Stokes is possibly better than he was at 24

I would say Stokes has some way to go before matching Beefy's performances with both bat & ball, but it is difficult to compare him as Beefy was a genuine all rounder and Ben is probably some way from being a complete all rounder I would like to see Stoke demolishing teams with ball a bit more before even making a comparison

What do you guys think?

Well if Beefy thinks he is then must have the potential to be as good as him

Dont like this comparing to players of the past especially legends always happens and can either go 2 ways one it goes to there heads and 2 -3 seasons they are no where

I mean i remember when Freddie Flintoff was the next new botham of course he had his moments but injuries hampered him and the promise was never realised although still an england legend

One thing I would like to see is that Stokes has that ability that Beefy had to swing the ball both ways I think he could do that better than most. If Ben can do that then we probably could see him develop into something like Beefy was (and always will be).

I would agree with what you say about Flintoff, he could have been as good as Beefy was before injuries hampered his career but another thing that probably sets Beefy apart is that he did it against some really quick fast bowling attacks of his time I do wonder how Stokes would cope if he had to face the likes of Thomson, Lillee, & Holding at their best..

He's certainly fitter than Beefy was.

Beefy was a better strike bowler..

I've just been watching the Australia v India t20 ODI reply..

This cricket must be getting more dangerous. One of the umpires is wearing a helmet.

Well done to Brendan McCallum for his fastest Test century off just 54 balls I'm sure Sir Viv Richards enjoyed it too if he was watching it!! Whether it is feasible you can get a hundred off 50 balls or less will now be watched very closely. But I gues it might now inspire Chris Gayle to have a go at some point given he can score a ton quicker in T20 than anyone else!! Tongue

Australian fast bowler didn't take it well when a LBW decision went against him.

The stump mic picked up him intimidating the on field umpire and throwing insults at the 3rd umpire.

A banning is in order
