There's no need to cobble anything together to discredit Corbyn, his own words & actions have done that quite nicely.

RE: General News Thread - The Silent Majority - 01-11-2020 02:34

Corbyn's a lot like Trump, in the sense that anything less than a complete exorcism and the smell of him will hang over the party for years to come.

My sole objection to Jeremy is his age. That's not his fault, the person representing Socialism would have to be one who was there before the Tories moved in.

Criticism of Israel is entirely justified, the conduct of it's regime the cause of too many international tensions and atrocities. It's coincidence that many of it's citizens follow a particular faith.

I remain unsure whether Conservative strategists invented Brexit to alienate Labour MP's.

^ Can’t bring yourself to accept the findings of the report can you Chrisst. That seems to me to make you part of the problem of denial rather than part of the solution.

Your final sentence on Brexit is simply weird. Where were you during the Brexit referendum campaign when many Labour MP’s were standing alongside Conservatives campaigning for Brexit. Have you forgotten Saint Jeremy’s refusal to lead campaigning against Brexit?

RE: General News Thread - Chrisst - 01-11-2020 10:43

I'm not bothered enough to read that report but I suspect that if I did I'd agree with it.
My opinion remains that anti-Israel is right.

I couldn't account for the campaigning of labour MP's. To many of them are in the wrong party

Nigel Farage has subittted papers to change the name of the Brexit Party to...Reform UK - to fight lockdown measures, saying 'they don't work' snd advocates only the "elderly snd vulnerable should stay in" and the rest of us should "carry on" with life in general and develop herd immunity.

^ This is generally the position espoused by the Great Barrington Declaration. Although their response is more nuanced.

Seriously dont get that one basically the judge took heards side even against all the evidence to say she was the abuser

RE: General News Thread - skully - 02-11-2020 15:22

That ruling doesn't sit well with me. The court of public opinion was on her side to start, she used me too to her advantage, then as more and more facts came to light and more people came forward, it was clear that it wasn't one sided, so much so that she's been abandoned by many who first defended her.
So how is it that he loses, when she's the one with a history of domestic abuse and there is evidence of fake/disappearing/reappearing bruises, hmmm.
The judge has got this one very wrong imo. Hopefully they appeal it and get a judge that doesn't buy the lies.
